Disney Magical World is a Life Sim game that puts you into some famous Disney worlds to roam or play at will. Think of it as Animal Crossing meets Disney. It’s not the kind of game that’s usually on anyone’s radar: but I’m going to tell you why it should be.
Just about anyone who has an interest in Destiny will probably have already bought it, or read a review about it and made up their minds. So why read this one? I can’t actually provide a decent answer except perhaps this: this review is probably entertaining.
This is going to be a bit of an unusual review: since I’m reviewing an art application for the Nintendo 3DS, I decided to put the app to good use and create the majority of the review in the app. What you see has not been altered in any way outside the app, so you’re getting a decent representation of its use. Because of the nature of the review, I’ve provided some extra screenshots of the app itself afterwards (obviously, official screenshot artwork isn’t mine!) Enjoy!
Bayonetta, the insane, leggy witch with more attitude than a high school full of sassy teens, is back. With more sass. More insanity. And more leg (probably). The first game (reviewed here) was a cornucopia of bullets and blood, and this time, Bayonetta 2 promises more of the same, just with …well…more. I grab my guns and go to hell to bring you this review.
Teslagrad is one of the latest in a wave of beautifully illustrated, beautifully programmed indie 2D games that we lucky gamers have a chance to experience. The game has seen some success on the PC, and now we have the Wii U version. I take the power into my own hands to see how electrifying the game can be.
[Update: Word from the developers (see comment below) is that Wii U Pro Controller support is coming in a patch, so that’s something to look out for!]
Of all the highly anticipated titles this year, Super Smash Bros. has got to be somewhere near the top of the list. For the uninitiated, it’s a sprawling beat-em-up featuring a host of Nintendo’s greatest and toughest characters (and a few borrowed from …here and there, amongst other places). It’s a fabulous roster of fighting, and the 3DS version is upon us. I put on my fighting words and take the knocks to bring you this *knockout* review.
Cubemen 2 is a real time strategy tower defence game made by Nnooo. It’s seen a release on many other platforms, including PC, Android, and iOS, and now it’s made its way to the Wii U. I review this particular version of the game and let loose the blocks of war.
The original Bayonetta first appeared on PS3 and Xbox360 about four years ago and it was received with differing amounts of criticism. In light of the release of the sequel, Nintendo is releasing the first game for Wii U along with some new controls and new Nintendo-exclusive costumes for the leggy witch. Let’s see how it compares to the other console versions, shall we?
Table Top Racing, for those of you who don’t play games on your phones or tablets, is a racing game that uses the conceit of a bunch of toy cars racing around a track made out of household object. In fact, if you remember playing Micro Machines back in the early 1990s, you’ll be fairly familiar with the idea. This time around, though, we’re reviewing the new PS Vita release of Table Top Racing. Let’s see how much revving we need to do.
Amongst the well-read (and even the not-as-well-read), Neil Gaiman is a familiar name, and renowned for such works as Coraline, The Sandman, and The Graveyard Book. So it’s with some excitement that I discovered that Mr Gaiman was helping to work on a video game. The game—Wayward Manor—is now available for purchase via Steam, and I’ve taken to haunting houses to review it for you. Take my hand and I’ll show you just how wayward an entire manor can get.
