The Mario vs Donkey Kong series of puzzle games, now over ten years old and six games in the bag, sees its newest addition return to the 2D platform style that it originally started with. Like many of the prior games, your mission is simply to get the Mario-themed clockwork toys to the door by manipulating various elements on the game screen. I gather up my clockwork toys and try not to throw them from the cot as I bring you this review.

We Review: Mario Party 10
The Mario Party series of games—originally developed by Hudson Soft but now developed by Nd Cube—has been around since its inception in 1998 on the Nintendo 64. Every Nintendo console since then has received one or more Mario Party games. Some of you may remember that we reviewed Mario Party 9 for the Wii a while back. The newest addition to the series is called, in a surprise twist, Mario Party 10. Surprise twist because it’s actually the fourteenth iteration in the game series. I grab my dice in hand and head down to the game boards to see just how much fun the new game is.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a spin-off game from Super Mario 3D World. The eponymous Captain Toad and his faithful companion, Toadette, are out seeking treasure, and it’s your job to help them get it. What makes the game different from your standard platformer is that Captain Toad cannot jump, and he’s not very fast either. I help the Captain of the Toad Brigade on his adventure, and try to view the world from a different angle to review this game.
We Review: Paper Monsters Recut
Paper Monsters Recut is a Wii U port of an iOS sidescrolling platformer, and features cute papercraft scenery and critters. It certainly looks deceptively cute. Let’s grab our markers, construction paper, and glitter glue, and see what we can make of this game.
A month or so ago, we reviewed the new Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. This time around, we have the Wii U version of the game, which has a lot of features above the 3DS version, including high definition graphics and massive arenas. Oh, and Amiibo support. I try my Master hand at all of these, and fought the good fight to bring you this review.
We Review: Tengami (Wii U)
Tengami is a game which pretends to be a Japanese pop-up book. You turn pages, slide the paper bits, and solve puzzles in this game. Let’s see what kind of story it wants to tell.
If you haven’t yet heard of Shovel Knight, then you’ve probably no interest in gaming’s glorious 8-bit past. Shovel Knight was created as a homage to the wonder of 8-bit console gaming (with a few minor tweaks). He’s quite literally that: a knight armed with naught but a humble shovel to dig his way out of trouble. I take my vorpal sword shovel in hand, and off I trundle to seek the manxome foes.
We Review: Costume Quest 2
Costume Quest 2 is, for those not astute enough to ponder at the “2” at the end of the name, is the sequel to the 2010 indie hit, Costume Quest. Halloween is in danger, so I put on my favourite costume and go trick or treating to find some candy in this game.
We Review: Tetrobot and Co.
Indie puzzle games come in two flavours: gameplay that will make you pull your hair out combined with puzzles that are unfair, and ones that are a dream and delight to play, with puzzles that aren’t too taxing, but still leaves you with a head scratching experience without making you want to commit electronic murder. Let’s find out which category Tetrobot and Co. falls into.
We Review: Cubemen 2 (Wii U)
Cubemen 2 is a real time strategy tower defence game made by Nnooo. It’s seen a release on many other platforms, including PC, Android, and iOS, and now it’s made its way to the Wii U. I review this particular version of the game and let loose the blocks of war.
