The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has its first DLC pack available for download (although you have to grab both as a season pass; they’re not available separately). The first pack is called Trials of the Sword, and we got our hands dirty with it to see why it was worth heading back into Hyrule to fight the good fight.

The Legend of Zelda is one of the longest-running game series around, and has always been a popular game. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released a few months ago, but we’re only now getting around to reviewing it. In our defence, it’s a pretty big game, all right? Let’s get our Master Sword on and explore Hyrule.
We Review: Hyrule Warriors Legends
Hyrule Warriors was a Wii U game, released in 2014, that played like Dynasty Warriors set in the Legend of Zelda universe. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, by the way, you’re missing out on two extremely fun game series and you should be extremely ashamed of yourself. The 3DS now sees its own release called Hyrule Warriors Legends, and it was a huge surprise given the amazing amount of detail and action that went into Hyrule Warriors. Can the little console keep up with its big brother? I grab my Hero’s garb and Master Sword and charge at the hordes of moblins to find out.
The newest game in the Legend of Zelda series, subtitled Tri-Force Heroes, is the eighteenth game in the series since its inception 29 years ago. Link has come a long way since that first adventure (well, they’re all different incarnations of Link, really), and now we have three Link characters all playing cooperatively together in the same adventure. Does it work well? I don my green Hylian garb, grab my bow, bombs, boomerangs, (Ed: And my axe!) and master sword, and head out into the Drablands to see what’s up.
We Review: Super Smash Bros. (3DS)
Of all the highly anticipated titles this year, Super Smash Bros. has got to be somewhere near the top of the list. For the uninitiated, it’s a sprawling beat-em-up featuring a host of Nintendo’s greatest and toughest characters (and a few borrowed from …here and there, amongst other places). It’s a fabulous roster of fighting, and the 3DS version is upon us. I put on my fighting words and take the knocks to bring you this *knockout* review.
A Link Between Worlds is the first completely new Legend of Zelda game since Skyward Sword on the Wii (all the other games since Skyward have been remakes of older games), and for those fans of the series who have been playing it long enough, it’s a sequel to A Link to the Past for SNES, and takes place in the same game world. I don my green cap, take up the Master Sword, and head into the land of Hyrule to see how many rupees we can dig up.
We Review: rAge 2011
Your favourite gaming reviewer (that’s me, by the by) went to the 2011 rAge expo at the Coca Cola Dome in Johannesburg this weekend.
I got a good look at some of the most exciting up and coming games for the next few months, and even got hands on with a few of them, where I was able to kick, punch, hit, and beg my way to the front. Hit the jump to find out what went down at the event.
