You Won’t Believe She is Levitating

And it’s a good thing that you don’t believe everything you read, you keen observer you. Natsumi Hayashi, a pretty teenager from Tokyo, Japan takes self-portraits at just the right moment in time when it looks like she is performing an incredible act of levitation. Snow Motion: Dachshund Puppy Plays In The Snow

OMG, this is adorable. Meet Iso, the Dachshund puppy who likes nothing better than a roll around in the snow. It’s such a cute video shot in slow motion to the tune “Endless Song of Happiness” by singer-songwriter Yael Naim.

There is more slo-mo Iso goodness after the jump, where he plays fetch and takes a bath.

The A to Z of Star Wars

If you liked Jess Bradley’s rather odd alphabet, you might enjoy this themed one too.

When illustrators Brandon Peat and his wife Emma were expecting their first child they needed to decorate their baby’s room. Playing to their strengths they decided to create an illustrated alphabet from a galaxy far, far away. They based in on the characters from a beloved space opera, Star Wars.

Have a look at their super-cute alphabet after the jump.

Kill Your Co-Workers

Unless you’re a one-man business (and you aren’t a douche), chances are high that you’ll encounter a co-worker who you just want to…invalidate. This rad music video for Flying Lotus explores the theme of killing off irritants in superb style. It starts off with a very happy parade down a town’s main street. The robots have been invited and are having a great time until Rhon, the human, behaves like a dick. It gets bloody from then on, but in a very endearing kind of way.

Check out Kill Your Co-Workers below.

The video was created by graphic designer, Mike Winkelmann. If you’re any good at animation, you can download the 3D models used in the video and create your own. Find the source files on Winkelmann’s website, Beeple.

Evan Kafka’s Super Cute Animal Portraits

Visitors to the blog may be acquainted with our puppies Mina and Panya. They’re very sweet dogs (although Mina dislikes cyclists and joggers) and the all photos I have taken of them are spur of the moment. They’re nigh uncontrollable and I’m as as likely of getting our pets to pose for photos as I am of getting them to recite the alphabet, backwards.

I’d like to be able to shoots animals as New York City photographer Evan Kafka does. His pet portraits are so emotive and so ridiculously cute. Have a look at some of his work after the jump.

Rather Odd Alphabet

I’m set to get an education this week, and no matter how much humour the trainer will try to inject into the course, I doubt it’ll be much fun.

I’d love to regress to my childhood when exploring new things was filled with amazement, and I’d want Jess Bradley as a teacher. This illustrator from Bristol, England loves creating cute and quirky characters and started off a project to create a rather odd alphabet. Have a look at her super-cute alliterated designs after the jump.

Use The Force, Chipmunk

Canadian illustrator Chris McVeigh spent four years trying to capture the chipmunks in his parents’ backyard in the perfect position. Using almonds to attract the wild, inquisitive creatures, he sometimes who waits for up to eight hours per day to photograph them interacting with the Star Wars scenes that he has set up in the garden. McVeigh mentions that some of the more social chipmunks would come to the yard when he whistled for them. It’s altogether quite cute. Have a look at his set of Crossover images after the jump.

Weirdly Cute Patterns by Mike Mitchell

We haven’t done a wallpaper-related post in a while. We don’t really have an excuse for it aside from the suffering a serious bout of procrastinitis. We’re better now and found some odd wallpaper patterns from Los Angeles artist Mike Mitchell.

From a bizarre skull and cross bones design made up of kitty bits to an anthropomorphic eyeball, Mitchell’s designs are cute, if a little weird. Check them out after the jump.

Emo Super Heroes

What do emo kids use as birth control? Their personalities. Clearly I didn’t write that joke, it’s actually funny. It however shows the extent of my knowledge on all things “emo”.

Now, artist JSalvador wondered what super heroes would be like if they were emo and sketched our their tortured thoughts. Check out his “Super Emo Friends” series after the jump.
