BioShock Infinite was fabulous. After much discussion about complicated string theory and the game’s ending (spoilers, obviously), an important question went unanswered…until now: what would the characters look like if they were cats?
Reddit user darijakarta drew darling feline versions of the Lutece twins, Elizabeth, and our hero Booker DeWhiskers. See them after the jump.
Superheroes are some of the most revered characters in fiction, and every now and again, someone tries to make another superhero video game. Mostly, they tend to suck. So it’s with mixed feelings we received Injustice: Gods Among Us. Is it superpowered? Or is the transferal to a digital medium its proverbial Kryptonite? Let’s find out.
You may recall how dashcams give us with a look at life in Russia. Cameras mounted onto animals provide an equally interesting view, and in this case we see it from the perspective of a Peale’s Peregrine Falcon named Dora.
Peregrine falcons are known to be the fastest animal in the kingdom, often reaching speeds in the excess of 300 km/h during their hunting dives. A camera mounted on the back of Dora captures such a high speed take down. In the beginning Dora calmly takes to the skies and explores the surroundings, but around the 2:45 mark there is an incredible burst of speed as Dora spots and makes contact with a duck. Check out the striking video below.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is the sequel to the original Sniper: Ghost Warrior (Ed: Your observations are simply stunning in their accuracy.) and, while other FPS games tend to focus on fast action, teamwork, and hordes of enemies hell bent on filling you with so much lead that they could use you as a pencil, Sniper focuses on a single aspect of the FPS genre. Killing silently and efficiently. Preferably from a gooooood distance.
You may remember the amazing macro shots of animal eyes by Armenian photographer Suren Manvelyan. In his latest series of photos, Manvelyan continues to focus on the wild eyes of the animal kingdom including owls, foxes, hippos, and birds. Have a look at some of his eye-opening photos after the jump.
If time is money, then I’d wager this might be the best minute you’ll spend today.

Gears of War: Judgment is the latest game in the sci-fi Gears of War series, detailing the war between the Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) and the planet Sera’s native locust. I play through this game to find out whether the Gears grind smoothly, or whether it’s just a spanner in the works.
We love aurorae. So ethereal and majestic, the natural light displays have captured the attention of many a viewer (and photographer).
When a sunspot the size of the Earth produced a coronal mass ejection, Göran Strand a photographer from Sweden happened to be at an ideal place to capture the interaction of Earth’s magnetic field and the solar winds. Over the course of four hours, Strand took 2,464 raw images totalling over 40 GB of data and created a magnificent time-lapse video of the event.
Kratos is back. But he might not be the same person you remember from the tumultuous goings-on in God of War III. God of War: Ascension isn’t a continuation; it is actually a prequel to the original game that takes place a few months after Ares played a trick on our anti-hero. Kratos is reeling from his mistakes and hounded by visions. The Ghost of Sparta is pursued and imprisoned by the three great Furies for breaking his blood oath to Ares. Breaking free from his shackled nightmare, Kratos takes his first steps on the long and bloody road to freedom and redemption.
