Roadsworth began painting the streets of Montreal in the fall of 2001. Initially motivated by a desire for more bike paths in the city and a questioning of “car culture” in general, he continued to develop a language around street markings and other elements of the urban landscape using a primarily stencil based technique. In the fall of 2004, Roadsworth was arrested for his nocturnal activities and charged with 53 counts of mischief. Despite the threat of heavy fines and a criminal record he received a relatively lenient sentence which he attributes in part to the public support he received subsequent to his arrest. Since that time, Roadsworth has received various commissions for his work and continues to be active in both visual art and music.

People often say it’s what’s on the inside that counts, but with these incredible museum designs, the building is as much a masterpiece as the art inside it.
Guggenheim Museum Bilbao
Designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in the city of Bilbao, Spain is clad with reflective titanium walls that sparkle in the sun. It is credited with starting the trend of making the building that houses art just as important as the art itself, and has even been called “the greatest building of our time”.
Osaka National Museum of Art
Constructed of titanium-coated steel tubes Osaka’s National Museum of Art resembles a giant metal insect, crouched on the ground with its wings extending into the air. Due to space constraints, most of the museum is underground; the steel frame and glass skylights are all that is visible from street level.
The New Museum on the Bowery
Situated in New York City, USa the New Museum on the Bowery resembles a stack of white baker’s boxes. The building is clad in aluminum mesh to disguise the windows.
Groninger Museum
The funky-fresh Groninger Museum in Groningen, Holland is surrounded by water and connected to the land by a pedestrian bridge. The three pavilions that make up the museum were designed by architects Philippe Starck, Alessandro Mendini and Coop Himmelb(l)au, The look of the museum is derived from the Italian ‘Memphis’ style of architecture.

I don’t know how many of you even own a cassette player anymore, and I don’t think anywhere round here (where I live) sells them either. They were a blast though weren’t they? All those hours of unwravelling and winding tape that your nasty player had thoughtlessly eaten, then having all your favourite songs warble away sounding only somewhat familiar forever after.
I loved cassettes though seriously. They gave me freedom from the kak music played on the radio. Anyhow to cut a long story short (I wish I actualy had!) says-it.com provides a generator where you can relive those nostalgic days of tapes by making your own to look at. They also have a videotape generator.
