Legion Red Band Trailer

OK, so the last time God lost faith in man, he sent a flood. This time around, in the upcoming Sony action/horror film Legion, God is a lot angrier and has decided to send his army of angels to bring on the apocalypse. Humanity’s only chance lies with a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner, and the Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany) who has been sent to earth to protect an unborn child.

The red band trailer that was shown at Comic Con earlier is now online, so see it below. Think CONSTANTINE, but no Keanu Reeves, and way, way more guns!

Legion is the directorial debut for Scott Stewart, founder of effects company The Orphanage. Alongside Paul Bettany, the cast includes Dennis Quaid, Kevin Durand, Kate Walsh, Tyrese Gibson, and Charles S. Dutton. It’s due for a U.S. release on January 22nd, 2010.

it does beg the question, why would God use an army? surely a mere thought from the big guy would suffice?

it does look cool with the exception of dennis quaid. he has a habit of featuring in questionable movies in the last few years… day after tomorrow ahem

Ok here’s the thing. Way too much shown in the trailer.
I love movies which have arcane Christo-Judeo lore in it, “Prophecy” kicked ass. But Hollywood always messes up. They have the angels spurt stupid lines and then have sequels that will mess with the first one.
I’ll give it a chance…..but I saw Tyrese there and that cannot be good.
