Ever since the film Back to the Future Part II, just about everyone has dreamed of the day we could all ride our own hoverboard. A few months ago, a company called Hendo said they could create a pretty funky one for $10,000. Leave it to someone with some time to figure out how to do it with four leaf blowers, a skateboard deck, and lots of duct tape.
You can check out the instructions on how to build one over here, but if you want to see it in action, take a look at the video below. Incidentally, if anyone DOES manage to build it, drop us a line and we’ll come give it a test drive. The inventor, Ryan Craven from Austin, Texas, says “When I first began this odd little experiment, I had a clear objective in mind; to build a Hoverboard that was practical, affordable, and fun to ride by the end of 2014. I’ve been through a few dozen iterations and finally have something I believe meets those standards…” Oh, and the brilliant noise it makes has to be heard to be believed.
