Over the span of 17 years and 11 games the body of Lara Croft, our favourite archaeologist-adventurer from the Tomb Raider series has gone through some changes. Here’s an infographic that shows the evolution of Lara from the voluptuous Minecraft character in 1996 to the 2013 incarnation that ditched the exaggerated features for a more realistic look. I still remember having the cheat code to have Lara run around starkers.
I couldn’t get the same satisfaction on the PlayStation version.
We’ve come a long way from the paltry 540 polygons that made up her model in 1996.
Well my PC version wasnt any good either. Didnt have a proper graphics card. Remember how expensive PC components were back in the ’90s? So had to turn up the brightness on the monitor.
I was mostly broke for the latter part of the 90s.
Having a look at some historical data, the average cost of RAM in mid-90s was $30,875 per gigabyte! It was $5.50 in 2013.
