You may have seen our earlier post on DJ duo HIFANA and making music from ultra-bendable Nike running shoes. Making music from odd objects is not a new thing – the Blue Man Group use instruments made of PVC Pipes and tubes, and dance troupe Stomp using everyday objects like dustbin lids, rulers, and matchboxes.
And here are two little bits of music made other non-traditional kit.
Renaud Hallée used the sounds of falling balls and other objects to generate a rhythm. He calls it Gravité.
Diego Stocco’s love with Bonsai led him to record an experimental piece where he plays with different bits of his miniature tree and records the sounds. It’s aptly titled Music from a Bonsai.
If there is bit of music made with unlikely objects that you particularly like, do let us know in the comments.
