Folding The Yoshimoto Cube

Invented by Naoki Yoshimoto in 1971, the Yoshimoto Cube transforms into two stellated rhombic dodecahedrons. These dodecahedrons then fold again as two cubes the same size as the original cube. Say what?

Joaquin Phoenix, The (Bad) Rapper

Ex movie star now wanna be rapper Joaquin Phoenix made his debut this past friday. J. Pizzle performed three hip-hop tracks in front of a full house at nightclub LAVO in Las Vegas. The audience was reportedly unenthusiastic about the set but Phoenix remains passionate, saying:

Are there people out there who think I’m a joke? I’m sure there will be. Are there people who think it’s going to suck? Probably, but I can’t worry about that.

Watch J. Pizzle drop it like it’s hot – it’s worth a laugh at the very least.

Ultra-Minimalist Products That Are Almost Impossible to Use

Keeping things simple is great but there comes a point when it’s hard to figure out what a minimalist design is intended for…

Recycled Paper Side Table

Matt Gagnon’s recycled side table looks like a sculptural masterpiece, and people will be wowed by your new lamp stand. Gagnon must have been on crack when he decided the pricing – $2798! GTFO!

Fuksas Mocha Cups

These are designer coffee cups. Make sure to tell your less-knowledgeable friends before they ash in them.

Pano Logic Computer

The Pano device has no CPU, no memory, no operating system, no hard drive, and no drivers. Supposedly Pano delivers a complete Microsoft Windows experience through the use of magic server virtualization.

Wooden Drawing Tops by Thomas Forsyth

I’m terrible at drawing. Elephants in Thailand can draw better than me. But not any more, British designer Thomas Forsyth came up with an awesome way for me to outdraw those fiendish pachyderms. It is the Drawing Top – with a pen or pencil as the spindle, Forsyth’s wooden drawing tops spin on a sheet of paper creating some unpredictable results.

Star Wars as Told by Amanda

Amanda is a chick. She’s only seen bits and pieces of the Star Wars trilogy but does an amazing job of telling the story in 3 minutes which took George Lucas 6 hours to do.
