Infographics are a great way of communicating complex information and data in a visually pleasing manner. Sometime I think I could be an infographic as I’m regularly told, “You’re much smarter than you look”. In any case, we love them here at Onelargeprawn and decided to compile a small list of the ones that we particularly liked. Have a gander at them after the jump.

Can You Escape The Room?
ПРОНАЂИТЕ НАЧИН ДА ИЗАЂЕТЕ ИЗ СОБЕ is a point-and-click adventure game where you are trapped inside a room and need to escape (presumably because you need to pee or something). Finding items and solve puzzles are crucial to your success.
Can you escape room? Try to do it HERE and let us know how you got on. You can find our walkthrough after the jump.
Living Room PC Case Mod is Tiny, Cozy
The only customization I did on my PC was asking for the case, monitor and other bits to be black. I’d show you a picture of it, but I’m afraid the sheer blackness of it may cause you to soil yourself. Instead, have a look at this rather unique case mod, where a hobbyist has created a cozy, inviting living room inside the PC.
The Living Room PC comes with a three-seater sofa, an armchair, a pot plant, a and little lamp that plugs into one of the PC’s power circuits. The bottle of Coca Cola and a copy of the New York Times paper adds the extra touch. The furniture is so intricate, the maker must have the patience of a saint (or a serial killer).

Scientist Jonathan Schattke is quoted as saying, “Necessity is the mother of invention, it is true, but its father is creativity, and knowledge is the midwife.” Fair enough, but what happens if the offspring came from the shallow end of the gene pool? LIFE magazine explores this as they count down 30 retro inventions that may have seemed like a good idea at the time but are really just plain terrible. Have a look at some of the after the jump.
Clarence Hailey Long, Jr (1910-1978) had a face sunburned to the color of saddle leather and obviously had his priorities straight, saying “If it weren’t for a good horse, a woman would be the sweetest thing in the world.” A photo of the Texas cowboy in a 1949 issue of LIFE magazine served as inspiration for advertising executive Leo Burnett, who in 1954, conceived the supremely masculine “Marlboro Man”. You’d think it was the sequel to an upcoming blaxploitation movie, but you’d be wrong. Black Lightning features far less black people, but makes up for it in other ways. Produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Day Watch, Night Watch), Чёрная Молния tells of a Moscow University student who wants to impress a girl but is too poor to afford a fancy car. His luck turns unexpectedly when he is gifted with a rusty old Volga that has a very special ability. Have a look at the trailer below – oddly enough the subtitles seem to show up only when you view the trailer in full-screen mode or watch it directly on YouTube.
Described as “the Russian response to Transformers and Batman,” Black Lightning is directed Alexandr Voitinsky and will appear in Russian theaters on December 31st, 2009.
Update (December 8th): The second trailer is out. There are no subtitles so please feel free to make the dialog up as you go along.

According to Wikipedia, Yōkai is a broad terms for a class of monsters and supernatural beings in Japanese folklore. In the 1960s, a manga artist by the name of Shigeru Mizuki created the Yōkai Daizukai, an illustrated guide that takes a look inside the humorous or bizarre characters that inhabited the Japanese countryside.

We’ve posted about Major Lazer before, more specifically the NSFL music video of their dancehall experiment “Pon De Floor”.
Whilst the video for “Keep it Goin, Louder”, the latest track taken from the “Guns Don’t Kill People – Lazers Do” album, is nowhere near as pornographic as Pon De Floor, it does take the tired “in the club” theme and mashes some monsters into it. Things are getting progressively worse (as they do when the undead is concerned), and only a visit from the Jamaican commando can set things right. Check it out below.
Incidentally, you can listen to user-submitted remixes of both tracks at Remix Major Lazer.

Popular South African cartoonist Zapiro is tired of just being in the news, and is now making the news. Debuting on October 6th and delivered exclusively on the Internet, ZA NEWS takes a satirical look at South African politics and the celebrities that make the magic happen.
The “news” segments are acted out by rubber puppets who are remarkably similar to the politicians they are parodying. Each show is around five to seven minutes long, and there is wrap-up show on Saturday. Have a look at the inaugural episode which features President Jacob Zuma, Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, and always-entertaining Julius Malema, who this time can’t seem to find the word Internet in his dictionary.
Catch more of ZA NEWS at the Mail & Guardian.
According to Hayibo.com the SABC are less than thrilled about the matter as they already have a satire show that broadcasts daily, it’s called The News ;-)
Slow Motion Silliness
If your work week has felt a never-ending visit to the proctologist, then this video may just get your day to happy start. It features goofy Japanese people running wildly towards the camera, in slow motion. Man-boob guy, you are awesome!
The song is “Luv (sic) pt. 2” by Japanese hip-hop producer and DJ, Nujabes.
